Find Your Right AquaMaestro Setup

Start with what matters. Grow when you need it.

Which AquaMaestro controller is right for me?

Choose AquaMaestro based on the routines and level of control you actually need. Lite is the simple starting point for app-based heating and lighting schedules. Plus is designed for more flexible control and selected expansion. Pro is the most advanced controller for broader automation, module support and richer aquarium feedback where supported.

Start with your aquarium

NOT the biggest feature list

  1. What is currently difficult, fragmented or unclear in your aquarium care?

  2. Are you mainly replacing basic plug timers for heating and lighting?

  3. Do you want more flexible schedules or the option to add selected monitoring or automation later?

  4. Do you already run several devices and want broader testing, dosing, feeding, probe monitoring or connected routines?

  5. Do you want guidance based on the fish, creatures and plants you keep, and what data will be available to support that guidance?

Answer those questions first, then choose the controller that solves the problem without adding unnecessary complexity.

DECIDE YOUR OWN PATH

DECIDE YOUR OWN PATH

Path 1 - I want simple, clearer everyday control

Start with AquaMaestro Lite.

Lite is the Entry-level controller in the AquaMaestro range. It is designed for aquarium keepers who want simple app-based control of essential routines such as heating and lighting schedules.

  • Good fit for beginner and straightforward freshwater aquariums.

  • Useful for people replacing basic plug timers with app-based schedules.

  • Suitable for aquariums that benefit from more consistent day/night routines.

  • Can support basic Species & Plant Guidance using selected profiles, configured schedules and user-entered readings where supported.

  • Can suit simple planted aquariums where the keeper wants guidance rather than advanced automated dosing.

“Lite is not the advanced automation option.”

Do not choose Lite expecting automatic water testing, liquid dosing, plant nutrient dosing, CO2 dosing, autofeeding, probe monitoring, advanced reef automation, or pump/wavemaker scheduling unless those capabilities are explicitly confirmed.

Path 2 - I want more flexibility and room to expand

Explore AquaMaestro Plus.

Plus is the Mid-range controller for aquarium keepers who want more flexibility than Lite and may want to expand the system with selected AquaMaestro modules.

  • A fit for growing aquarium setups and planted tanks.

  • Designed for users who want more than basic heating and lighting schedules.

  • Can support more flexible routines and selected expansion where compatibility is confirmed.

  • Can combine Species & Plant Guidance with additional schedules, alerts and compatible module data where supported.

  • Useful for keepers who want smarter feedback based on the livestock, plants and aquarium data available to the setup.

Because module compatibility is product-specific, the final website should show a clear compatibility matrix rather than imply that every AquaMaestro module works with Plus.

Path 3 - I want broader monitoring and automation

Expand with AquaMaestro Pro.

Pro is the Most advanced AquaMaestro controller - designed for aquarium keepers who want broader automation, module support, advanced routines, wider equipment control and richer feedback from connected aquarium data.

  • A fit for advanced keepers and multi-device setups.

  • Designed for planted tanks with more complex nutrient or CO2 routines where supported.

  • Can support compatible probes, automatic testing, dosing, feeding, lighting and equipment routines where confirmed.

  • Can combine richer aquarium data with Species & Plant Guidance for more relevant feedback and user-reviewed actions.

  • Provides the widest route for future expansion within the AquaMaestro range where compatibility is confirmed.

Pro should still be presented as a strongly supportive tool for the keeper, not a fully autonomous aquarium. Advanced control does not replace observation, maintenance or responsible review.

When do extension modules become useful?

“A simpler starting point can be the smarter choice”

AquaMaestro is designed to grow with the aquarium. Start with the routines that matter now, learn what your aquarium actually needs, then expand only when another level of monitoring or automation creates a clear benefit.
